The Thurber Dialogues on Democracy is an ongoing series of conversations with prominent thought leaders about how to strengthen democracy in the US and abroad. Thousands of attendees have joined the Dialogues to listen and learn from Senator Cory Booker, then-House Majority Whip James Clyburn, current-House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, journalists Anne Applebaum, Peter Baker, Susan Glasser and others.
Please join us on November 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm for this timely conversation with CCPS Acting Director Tom Kahn and the authors of the Brookings Institution Democracy Playbook, Norm Eisen and Jonathan Katz.

You can take the free AU shuttle from the corner of Albemarle and 41st Streets NW to the Kerwin Hall stop. The Blue Route Shuttle will stop in front of Kerwin Hall. The School of International Service is a short walk from the Kerwin Hall stop.
The D90 and C81 bus routes also have stops near the School of International Service on Nebraska Ave NW.
Finding the Event Space:
If you park in the garage under the School of International Service, take the elevator to "T," exit to your right, then proceed through the wooden doors.
If you enter the building on foot, walk through the atrium and down the large staircase in the center of the space. The Founders Room is at the bottom of the large staircase.
