The academic portion of the orientation on Friday is mandatory. It will familiarize you with academic policies, resources, and the curriculum. Attendance at the welcome reception and day of service are optional, but strongly encouraged, as they will give you the opportunity to meet your classmates and faculty as well as learn about the DC community. As part of the programming on Friday, we will discuss the book $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America by Kathryn Edin and  H. Luke Shaefer. We will provide this book to you. To indicate how and where you would like to receive the book, please complete the registration form by clicking the button above. The registration form will also ask questions about whether you will attend the reception and service day. Additional information on orientation will be provided closer to the event.
