
Join Brendan O'Leary, Lauder Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, for a public address about the role of Northern Ireland in the UK’s negotiations to leave the EU and the implications of Brexit for peace on the island of Ireland.
Professor O’Leary is the author of dozens of books and hundreds of articles on peace and conflict resolution, including a three-volume study called A Treatise on Northern Ireland (Oxford U Press, 2019). He also served as a political and constitutional advisor to the British, Iraqi, US, and Kurdish governments, the EU, and the United Nations, among others. Event is co-sponsored by SPA, the Jean Monnet Transatlantic Policy Center in SIS, the Northern Ireland Bureau,and the Irish Embassy in Washington.
