Joshua Mitchell is a leading public intellectual of the New Right. He is a professor in the Department of Government at Georgetown University and was Provost, Rector, and Acting Chancellor of The American University of Iraq – Sulaimani. He is the author of five books, including, most recently, American Awakening: Identity Politics and Other Afflictions of Our Time (2020). He has also published numerous articles in both scholarly outlets and on contemporary American politics and helped found the journal American Greatness. He is an avid conservationist, committed to stewardship on his small farm on the Eastern Shore, and is working on the development of the next generation of solar-electric sailboats.
