Washington, DC is a city of neighborhoods and many of them are going through dynamic change. This presentation will cover the factors driving the revitalization of the city, and how certain redevelopment dynamics are putting displacement pressure on some low-income residents. By assessing three DC neighborhoods, we will explore DC’s redevelopment challenges and opportunities. This lecture will highlight how the city in a number of different ways is attempting to promote equitable development that benefits and uplifts all city residents.
